Surge Announces Increased Investment from The Quaternary Group

January 6, 2026: West Vancouver, BC; Surge Battery Metals Inc. (the “Company” or “Surge”) (TSXV: NILI, OTC: NILIF, FRA: DJ5C), announces that as of October 15, 2025, Quaternary Group Ltd. held approximately 5.7% of the issued and outstanding common shares of Surge on an undiluted basis, and approximately 11.3% on a diluted basis. Since October 15, 2025, Quaternary Group Ltd. has acquired an additional 2,539,000 common shares of the Company through open market purchases and now hold approximately 7.8% of the issued and outstanding common shares of the Company on an undiluted basis and approximately 13.3% on a diluted basis.
